Decorating the tree
The kiddos had a ton of fun decorating the Christmas tree!
And I decorated the mantle.
I think this is Ricky’s favorite part of the decorating process.
Aidan and the finished product.
Aspen and the finished product – my sweet little girl’s first Christmas tree!
I snapped a quick picture of my “other baby boy” Grayson!
Our finished tree!! Don’t you love how there aren’t any bows at the bottom and very few ornaments? Ah, the joys of little kids and crazy cats!
Veteran’s Day parade
I took the kiddos to the Veteran’s Day parade for the first time this year and they had a great time! I had no idea that the Veteran’s Day parade in Birmingham is one of the oldest & longest in the nation. Anyway, I snapped a ton of pictures but this collage is a good mix of the best ones.
Thanks to all the veterans who have served our country to protect our freedoms!
Random Saturday fun with Daddy
So, I’m in school every Saturday from 8am to 3pm. It’s tough to be away from the kiddos & Ricky for that long every weekend but it is good for the kids to have some one-on-one time with Daddy every weekend. And Ricky has been great about taking pictures for me too.
Here are the boys playing with Hot Wheels cars one Saturday afternoon BEFORE they had a haircut.
And here are some of Aspen playing on the floor with some toys. She is sitting up well these days & TALKING like you wouldn’t believe. I love the picture in the bottom right hand corner ~ she’s having a conversation with one of her toys. Isn’t she so cute?
The kids have enjoyed their time with Dad but in a way, it makes me feel good to think maybe they miss me just a little every Saturday… maybe just a little, right?
