International Babywearing Week
So, for those of you who aren’t familiar with babywearing, this week is International Babywearing Week. What does this mean, you ask? Well, wearing your baby in a carrier is an awesome way to bond with your baby. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with baby wearing and the different carriers & ways to wear your baby by checking out http://babywearinginternational.org/
And of course, I can’t put out a post without at least one picture so here ya go… a picture taken of Anson (being worn, of course) on his first Easter during a local egg hunt. He’s approximately 11 months old in this picture. Happy babywearing!!!!!
Playing with my Canon – and Photoshop editing
Yesterday, I took some time to take some pictures of Aidan, Anson & Aspen. Today, I decided to sit down and play around with Photoshop and edit some of them. These are my favorites of the ones I took and played around with. Enjoy!!!
All pictures were taken with my Canon Rebel XTI using my 50mm macro lens.
A cute close-up of Aspen in color … and a kind of sepia tone.
Such a sweet, little face!
I loved the look on her face in this one but I can’t decide if I like the color or black & white version.
My sweet little boys… which one do you like better – color or black & white?
Or I created this one for Ricky (quickly so it isn’t the best). What do you think?
I didn’t like the color one so much on this one.
Have you noticed a theme? I edited them in color and then in black & white or sepia so you will get to see 2 of each picture edited 2 different ways.
These are pictures of Aidan holding Aspen’s hand – I couldn’t decide if I liked the black & white version or the sepia…
Anson holding Aspen’s hand came out a little darker than Aidan’s – I think they still need some work.
Here she was laughing at the boys – I think I’m leaning more towards the black & white one.
And one more of her sweet little face. I LOVE this one in sepia!!!
First Day of School for the little boys
Aidan had his first day of 3K last Tuesday – and Anson had his first day of Children’s Day Out. Aren’t they handsome??

They both had such a great day! I love Clearbranch and all their wonderful teachers!!!
Pig Roast
The Tuckers decided to have a pig roast on Labor Day so we headed over to check out the pig, get a little pork & rice and just some good family time.

Aspen with Uncle Carlos

Isn’t she the sweetest?

Emi is looking for a snack.

Anson is playing out in the yard.

The kiddos had lots of fun – so glad we could go and visit for a while.
Spring Valley Beach and Limo Ride
Austin recently had a Pepsi fundraiser at school where he could win some AWESOME prizes. Well, thanks to my Aunt Melba (thanks, Melba) he sold 29 cases and got a free trip to Spring Valley Beach one Friday & a limo lunch at Red Robin the following Friday. Talk about jealous – I’ve never even seen the inside of a limo!
Here is Spring Valley Beach – luckily Ricky was able to take a vacation day and spend the day with him.

It looked like it was a perfect day for this!

He had such a great day!
The day of the limo ride, I ran up to the school and took a few pictures of the limo and him with the limo. I didn’t want to embarrass him so I didn’t hang around too long – just long enough to snap a few pictures. Austin also had a disposable camera with him that he took so once I get that developed, I will post some of those.

It was a stretch Excursion.

I got a glimpse of the inside before Austin came out.

Austin in front of the limo – about to head to lunch.
Now, back to the drinks. My Aunt Melba did a wonderful and selfless thing. She made the decision to purchase 25 cases of drinks and donate them to the nursing home where my grandmother lives. Such a selfless act – and I know the women at the nursing home & Austin are very grateful for that sacrifice (as well as Austin’s mom – I’ve not seen such a big smile on Austin’s face in a long time … and that made me very happy)!

And here is a quick snapshot of the drinks in my garage waiting on my aunt to pick them up and take them to the nursing home.
Thanks so much, Melba! We love you!!!
