Aspen’s “photo shoot”
I need to get my Canon Rebel XTi out more often and play around with it. Part of the reason Ricky bought it for me was to save us some money on our “professional portraits” I have taken all the time. But, I really need a new lens to take GREAT pictures so … if anyone in the family is looking for a birthday and/or Christmas present idea, I can send you the link to the lens (Dad, this is a hint for you – LOL!).
Anyway, below are some of the shots I took. In a matter of 30-40 minutes, I took over 100 pictures so … no way to share them all but here are the best of the best. And no, I didn’t have time (or disk space honestly – need a new computer too! LOL) to do any Photoshop modification on these – these images are straight from the camera!

She is such a happy girl. As soon as she hears my voice, she smiles! It’s too sweet!!!

Such a cute dress – thanks Grandma!

Sweet, sweet little face!!!

I promised Grandma I would put this dress on her and take some pictures before she outgrew it. She’s been putting on weight so quickly, I wasn’t sure how it would fit. Well, it fits fine – but the little sweater that goes with it doesn’t quite fit anymore … sorry Grandma!

I had so much fun playing around with the camera although I can tell I definitely need some more work with lighting and knowing how to make the camera settings work for me! Maybe soon I can get the new lens I want and take lots more pictures with it. I’d love to get really good with it … because I LOVE taking pictures!!!!
Aspen & Daddy
When Ricky got home yesterday and things in the house settled some (you know, it’s crazy when he first gets home because Aidan & Anson are SO EXCITED to see him), he sat down and started talking to Aspen. She proceeded to tell him about her day – yes, she’s cooing a TON now! I grabbed the Panasonic quickly and snapped some cute pictures – and here are some of them!

She is listening intently to her Daddy, isn’t she?

Sweet face!

Smiling at Daddy!

She is now starting to talk to him some – telling him all about our fun day together!

Awwww…..

She makes my heart melt!!! She is so sweet – I love her so much!!!
Elephant has to be safe, too!

I went into Aspen’s room to change her diaper yesterday and found Aidan’s elephant in the car seat. I guess he thought elephant needed to be strapped in if we went anywhere…LOL! Kids are so funny!
Aidan was TIRED!
This past weekend, the little boys didn’t get a nap – and boy did it make things difficult. I’ve always said Aidan is just like Ricky – he needs a lot of sleep and could fall asleep anywhere!! Ricky snapped these pictures at the dinner table Saturday evening.

He was sleeping with his head on the table. I wanted him to wake up so I pulled him back away from the table – so he decided to lay down in the chair! Can you believe he slept like this the entire time Austin & Anson ate dinner?
Two months old
Can you believe Aspen is two months old already? Yeah, neither can I! She is growing up so fast!!! Here are some pictures I took on June 3rd, her “two month birthday”… with my Canon – still playing around with that camera to figure out exactly how to use it and make beautiful pictures!

Isn’t she just adorable???

I snapped this one while she was looking at Anson. She loves to stare at her brothers.

Another precious picture of a precious face!

Anson reached over (on his own) and grabbed her hand. I am so thankful I have a wonderful camera like the Canon that has zero delay so I was able to capture this moment. That little boy of mine is so stinking sweet!!!!

I sat her up on the couch and snapped a few pictures of her. This one was the best of the bunch!

Sweet little face!
A professional photographer would tell you my lighting is off and the pictures look washed out. And you know what, they would be right but I love my pictures of my sweet little girl – and I will start working in Photoshop to make them look even better …
So now I’m caught up!! Hopefully I can stay that way! LOL
