Austin’s history project

Austin had to do a project for Alabama History – preferably a topic relating to St. Clair County History.  Austin chose the Newton-Ash cabin.  Here are a couple of pictures of the cabin finished.  Today, he is working on his report that goes with it and then we will need to put a sign on it so they will know what it is and it will be done!

The projects will be judged by the St. Clair County Historical Society and cash prizes will be given for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place projects.  I will update and let you guys know if Austin wins.

Anson’s hospital stay

On February 5th, Anson had to be admitted to Children’s Hospital for a 24 hour test for acid reflux.  The tube coming from his nose is a ph probe.  It is running down his esophagus close to his stomach so it can measure the amount of acid in his tummy and coming up into his esophagus.  It is attached to a machine that records how much acid he has and the time.  I kept a journal identifying what he was doing at all times.  Sounds like fun, huh?

Look how much fun he is having even though he has that tube in his nose!

Sweet little face!

He sure was pitiful (and he didn’t sleep well either)!  So glad that is over!!!  By the way, he does have acid reflux and has been given a new dosage of medicine, however the reflux is not affecting his sleep and causing his sleep issues so … back to trying to figure out why he won’t sleep lying down now!  FUN, FUN!!

Anson’s first biter biscuit

Daddy gave Anson his first biter biscuit at the end of January.  Anson didn’t really know what to make of it at first.

“What do I do with this?”

“Ok, what is this?  I’m supposed to eat it?”

Once Daddy showed him what to do, he got the hang of it pretty quick.  He really enjoys biter biscuits now!
